Christmas Cracker
Ho Ho Ho folks! A huge thank you to all who attended Daisy Hill The Band's Christmas Cracker at The Greenhouse, Tynemouth.
I'm sure I speak on behalf of everyone who attended, by saying that last night's performance was most likely the highlight of everyone's calendar of live music throughout 2018.
An absolutely fantastic performance from all involved.
The evening started off with Daisy Hill The Band and joining Les Dodd on stage was Brian Duffy, Derrek Spence Syd White and Stu Burlison who delighted the audience with a variety of covers and Les' own material taking us to the interval. We were then treated to a delicious Festive Burger from the staff at The Greenhouse which was absolutely delicious.
The second half got off to a fabulous start when Olivia Smith joined Les and the band and captivated the audience with four songs before handing back to Les and the boys who ended the evening inviting Olivia back on stage to perform a fantastic rendition of Silent Night.
A standing ovation ensued and three extra numbers were demanded before the elated audience let the band depart the stage.
Thank you to Aly Reay from Blue Attic Audio for the wonderful balance and mix. A big thank you to the staff at The Greenhouse for providing a fantastic venue and making everyone so welcome.
As Les explained on stage, Daisy Hill The Band are proud to donate a percentage of the proceeds from the online sales from the download of The Dusty Road album to The Chronicle Sunshine Fund. The Chronicle Sunshine Fund is a North East charity which provides funding for equi[pment to the disabled children of the North East.
